Manager – Sean McCormick
Sean was born in Goulburn and grew up on a horse stud where his love and care for horses was nurtured from a young age. His father was the local veterinary surgeon and passionate horseman who trained many winners for both the show ring and race course.
Sean worked in the stables from an early age and was an apprentice jockey. He rode 30 winners before retiring due to increasing weight.
His interests then shifted to breaking in, where his father's advice and knowledge proved invaluable. Sean still uses many of his father's techniques today.
In 1992, Sean met his future wife, Margo, at the races. She was holidaying here from Ireland and together they travelled overseas with Sean gaining employment at Camas Park Stud in Ireland and Kim Bailey's Stables in the UK. Whilst travelling he acquired further experience in yearling preparation, breaking in and private training. Sean and Margo returned to Australia in 1995.
On his return Sean continued to work in the thoroughbred industry and this led him to work at Heritage Park for Alby and Lynn Newman
